BRASIL!!!

Mauricio update. I got back from brazil on sunday after I left on thursday the week before, I took some gifts down to one of my friends in Rio de Janeiro that I have not seen for almost 5 years. It was such a blast I got to see my brazilian "nephew" he was cool I remember when the mom was barely finding out that she was pregnant. Time flies! Well while I was there we really didn't have much time I just spent one night and came back the following day, I know its crazy I spent more time in the air then on the ground. We went to eat at a rodizio style restaurant, but with about 40 more different styles of cooked meat, seafood, sushi and pasta, and here's the kicker it is one of the nicest in rio and it was only about 10 US dollars a person. Any way the next day for lunch we went to Habibs. It is a middle eastern type restaurant that is awesome. It was great tho I hadn't traveled to brazil for at least a year and it felt so good to be back although quick, it was nice.

He is very full of energy and loves to play, it was great to see him tho I had a great time playin around with him while I was there. He sure does love his chocolate.

I love this family the husband and I were old mission companions.

Oh Baby!

Well I know its been awhile so here is an update of the latest information. ha ha ha. This past week we had a doctor appointment and while there I asked if we could have an ultrasound because lately I have been having weird dreams that we are actually having a boy instead of a girl, so I just wanted to make sure. So when we got the ultrasound I can say that it is definitely a girl so no more worries there.

YEAH!

Baby Oh Baby!

THREE MORE MONTHS LEFT!!!!! I don't think my stomach will stretch that much more! I am 27 weeks pregnant so 13 more and Sirlei will be here! The next three months will go by so fast and I still feel like I have so much to do before her arrival. I really want to have a natural birth so I have signed up for hypnobirth classes. If any of you are familiar with hypnobirth or have actually done this for your own births leave a comment and tell me your experience, I would love to hear your story. Iam getting kind of anxious and worried about the whole birthing process but the research I've done has shown that hypnobirth has a lot of advantages for mothers. I'll keep you updated on my classes and how they go if any of you other prego women are curios about them as well. Leave a comment if you have any questions. I finally posted a pic of Sirlei!

LUCKI...

My dad is way into metal detecting and he goes with his friends almost every weekend. He finds a lot of cool stuff like jewlery, rings, old coins, and keys etc. But about 2 weeks ago he brought home something my mom never would have expected, a dog! My dad said that he was out in the middle of nowhere metal detecting and this poor skinny dog came up to them begging for food. My dad shared his lunch with him, and the dog followed them around the rest of the day. When it came time to come home my dad just couldn't leave it so he brought him home. My mom has named him Lucki cause she says he was lucky my dad found him. Well it turns out Lucki is still a puppy and likes to destroy everything. He has shredded pillows, a bookcase full of magazines, toys and just yesterday ripped two holes in her couch. I don't think he will be lucky to much longer if he keeps this up. Overall he really is a sweet dog just has a bit too much energy:)

Mmmmmmmmmm Cake

So I have heard that it is good luck to eat a piece of your wedding cake exactly one year after you were married. Well, not that Mauricio and I need any luck, but I decided to freeze the top of our wedding cake and last Sunday on our anniversary we both had a slice. It didn't look so good as you can see but to my surprise and everyone elses it actually tasted really good. Heres to good luck!

One year has come and gone

As you know it was our one year anniversary last Sunday and Mauricio surprised me with Thriller Tickets and a night at the Anniversary Inn! I can't start the holiday season without watching Thriller, its come sort of a tradition for us to go every year. The Ann. Inn was so nice. We wanted to stay in the Paris themed room because we were engaged in Paris on top of the Eiffel Tower and we had a Paris themed reception so it would have brought back a lot of great memories but that room was already booked. Instead we stayed in the Italian Gondola room which was so pretty, I would love to go to Italy one day. I am such a lucky girl to be married to Mauricio, it has been such a great year and I love him so much.

1 Year with Twinkles...

AREN'T DOG CLOTHES ALMOST AS CUTE AS BABY CLOTHES

Today is our one year anniversary with Twinkles. We got her at Petsmart at the Super Pet Adoption one year ago today. Her owner was an elderly woman from California and became sick so she was placed in a nursing home and poor twinkles was sent to a shelter. Twinkles was going to be euthanized because of her age, she is ten, it is hard to place older dogs in homes because everyone usually wants a puppy. But because of her sweet personality a rescue group from Utah rescued her and brought her here so we were able to adopt her. She came with about 6 outfits and some toys. She LOVES to dress up. She has brought us so much joy and really is our first baby. I even used her to tell my hubby I was pregnant:) I bought a shirt for her and used iron on letters to spell, " I'm gonna be a big sister!" It was priceless to see his face when he saw her and read her shirt.

Happy Anniversary

Well today we celebrated our one year anniversary we went to dinner in ogden at the Lions Den, then went to Thriller, it was great I love going to see this every year it has become a tradition for us. Afterwards I thought the night was over and Mauricio surprised me by taking me to The ANNIVERSARY INN!!!!! We stayed in the Italian Gondola room it was pretty nice the bed was half a gondola and the other half a sofa, it was so comfortable and nice. It was nice just to get away from everything even if just for a little while. This morning we woke up and at NOON, yeah, I Love sleeping in. Anyway they brought us breakfast and we slept for a little while longer than checked out and went to our apartment. When we left we were not expecting to see as much snow on the floor, then when we got home it was like driving through an obstacle course huge tree branches had broken off from the trees and fallin all over the place.



We went to church and helped in the nursery again, it's our new calling in church. It was fun, afterwards we came up to my parents house to have dinner and cut the top of our cake that has been saved for exactly one year today.

Weekend

Well this past weekend was fun mauricio's sister has been looking for a car to buy and since he's the family go to guy for cars and any problem they may have, he took her to a car auction. He said it was funny cuz out of nowhere his sister asked him to start bidding on a newer model car I guess and then as soon as she saw the audi come out she started drooling over that car well all in all at the end of the day they ended up getting her the audi which was a great deal from what he tells me. Then again he loves his cars so anychance he gets he's under the hood of his. ha ha ha. We went to a new brazilian restaurant at the gateway after the boys got out of priesthood, (it gave me some great time just to relax at home.) called Tucanos, mauricio loves the food it remind him a little of brazil. Afterwards we went and bought stuff for our traditional big conference breakfast that he cooks for the both of us, it was nice just to sit and relax. On wednesday we went to our check-up for the baby and everything is great and hearing the heart beat of the baby is always great as well. This weekend Mauricio says he has a surprise for our anniversary, so I'm excited.

Well I know its been a while since we posted so here is gonna come an update. ha ha ha. For starters we are gonna put up a picture of our latest ultrasound where we found out that we are having a girl. Also mauricio is still workin on his car he plans to do some more rennovations to it, so its comin along pretty nice its hhis project car and he enjoys it. We are planning on a little weekend getaway because it'll be our 1 Year ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!! I can't believe how fast the time flies, plus it'll be my birthday!!!!! Yeah!!!!!!

Our Baby Sirlei is always moving so I'm excited because she should be a good dancer so we are playing music for her all the time, although we both play different types of music, I usually play classical, ballet, slow, and slow spanish music, while mauricio plays a little hip hop, r&b, and salsa, so we figure she'll be well balanced. It's funny though she'll be moving like crazy and then when mauricio puts his hand on my stomach to feel she stops, then again he only puts it on for like a few minutes, but I always laugh when she does that. He says that she is already givin him attitude. ha ha ha but the he always feel her move every now and then so its ok.

Other good news my sister got a new job workin for HAFB so she is excited and happy about that. We also got a recent calling at our ward, we are now nursery teachers, we are happy about that plus we neeed all the practice we can get. ha ha ha.

It's a GIRL!!!!!!

Well we went to our Ultrasound visit and we finally found out what we are having. It's a girl!!!! I was so excited, mauricio wanted a boy of course, but he was very excited when he found out it was a girl too. I get to have my little ballerina. YEAH!!!!!! only 4 1/2 months left.

School also started this week and my students are now back, mauricio also started school this week as well, we are excited cuz he graduates this year also we are moving in october so that is kinda exciting as well.
